Our Process
The FloorPoxy epoxy floor coating system utilizes a 100% Solids Epoxy for a thin film application. The process begins with a base coat of FPX 1200 Epoxy Primer (pigmented), which offers a coverage of 200 square feet per gallon. Following the primer, a coat of FPX 3300 Epoxy Topcoat (pigmented) is applied, providing coverage between 150-200 square feet per gallon.
For additional customization, several optional elements can be incorporated into the system. These include FPX 3100COVE Epoxy Cove Base for a finished edge, and FPX 40/60 Medium Grit Clear Cut or FPX 20/40 Coarse Grit Clear Cut aggregate for enhanced slip resistance. Alternatively, other approved aggregates can be used to meet specific project requirements. In conditions requiring extreme chemical or heat resistance, FPX 3700 Novolac can be substituted for the standard top coat.
FloorPoxy also offers a range of optional topcoats to achieve the desired finish. FPX 9600 WB Gloss CRU and FPX 9600S Satin WB CRU provide low-odor, solvent-free finishes with mar, chemical, and UV resistance in gloss or satin, respectively. However, these options require pre-application sanding for optimal adhesion. For a solvent-based finish, FPX 9520 Gloss CRU or FPX 9520S Satin CRU can be used, offering high gloss or satin finishes with excellent mar, chemical, and UV resistance.

- Optional aggregate shall be FPX 40/60 Medium Grit Clear Cut, FPX 20/40 Coarse Grit
Clear Cut, or other sand designed to meet the owners skid resistance requirements.
Optional Topcoats:
FPX 3700 Novolac may be used in lieu of FPX 3100 for more extreme chemical or heat
conditions.

- FPX 9600 WB Gloss CRU may be used over the FPX 3100 when a low odor, solvent free,
mar and chemical/UV resistant gloss finish is required. Surface should always be sanded
prior to application.
- FPX 9600S Satin WB CRU may be used over the FPX 3100 when a low odor, solvent free,
mar and chemical/UV resistant satin finish is required. Surface should always be sanded
prior to application.
- FPX 9520 Gloss CRU may be used over the FPX 3100 when a solvent based, mar and
chemical/UV resistant high gloss finish is required.
- FPX 9520S Satin CRU may be used over the FPX 3100
